GCER - Your Composite Engineering Expert
Since its creation, GCER has experienced a rapid growth. Our clients are SMEs or multinational companies from Tunisia and from all around the world. We are exporting 90% of our products to countries such as:
France, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia, Peru, Chile, Mexico, USA, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Jordan …
2018 confirms all the previous years efforts
The completion of workshops to manufacture large diameters tanks (up to 7,000 Ø) gives a whole new dimension to the company.
A large investment is done in personnel training but also in production facilities. For example:
Boiler-making manufacturing workshops are 16m height under hooks for a total height of 20m.
Four overhead traveling cranes are available, able to lift 20 tons each, with double girder to ease the handling of tanks.
Investing to remove VOC dust at the source enables the team to work in healthy conditions and without discomfort.
Expansion of the cartridge filters workshop and equipping it with a VOC and dust aspiration system: products quality and productivity increase.
The thermoplastic materials boiler-making workshop is equipped with modern production tools such as a welding robot, a folding machine (folding up to 15mm) and a polywelder for plaques up to 40 mm, also able to produce solder fillet.
Expansion of the mechanical welding workshop: increased safe working conditions through the investment in a latest generation hypertherm plasma with up to 80mm cutting capacity.
An outstanding development year for the company
2017 constitutes an outstanding year of development for the company. The success of GCER PRV cartridge filter is rewarded by the start of a new 600 m² workshop dedicated exclusively to this activity with the goal to respond to the demand of our Canadian client H2O.
In addition, February 2017 sees the beginning of grating production at GCER to satisfy an increasingly important domestic demand.
GCER invests in water-jet cutting (4700 bars pressure). The machinery makes possible high precision and high-quality deliverables.
GCER is asked to produce large diameters boiler-making equipment. This leads to start construction of a boiler-making workshop with an additional 14m height under hook alongside the already existing workshop. The goal is to be able to manufacture 7m diameter tanks.
To support well the growth of its activity, GCER strengthens its technical team by hiring 5 engineers and 4 senior technicians.
Anti-dust system set-up
A water sprinkling system is set up for machining and cutting operations. This efficient decontamination solution performs well to control the air quality and lowers significantly GCER’s impact on the environment.
Renewal of the 3 certifications: Quality (ISO9001), Security (OHSAS 18001) and Environment (ISO14001). The Renewal testifies to the proper functioning and efficiency of our QSE integrated Management System for GCER “Sale and Manufacturing of thermoplastic/thermosetting piping and boiler systems and manufacturing of steel supports”.
GCER acquires 1ha of adjacent terrain to expand its facilities.
Construction of a grating production workshop.
Preparation to migrate the quality management system and environmental management system in conformity to the new versions of the ISO 900:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 norms.
New equipment acquisition
– 2013 –> 2015: new machines acquired to develop the manufacturing of thermoplastic tanks and special parts: NC-Cutting Machine, tanks welding robot, poly-welding machine, fillet welding machine, PRV cartridge filter welding machine, folding machine etc.).
Building of a simultaneous projected parts workshop – to produce round bottoms and projected pieces.
Building a hydraulic test bench.
Implementation of the necessary system toward fire-resistant certification of GCRE products (in process).
Branching towards the Agro-industrial sector with a food-grade certification: offering inexpensive and reliable GRP storage solutions. -> Food-grade certification of materials and objects intended for contact with foodstuff.
Acquisition of innovating high-tech machinery
Innovating high-tech machinery is bought for the mechanical workshop and the laminated/thermoplastic materials workshop. They provide a better service, an optimal quality and maximum security. (Plasma Cutting Machine, Band Saw machine, Rolling Machine, Folding and Bending Combined Machine).
New GRP products (hinge/rotating flanges and their supports) are developed to provide customers non-corrodible and durable products.
Investment in a filament winding line with retractable spindles able to manufacture tanks up to 6,000 diameter for 12 meters of length
(Diameters: 2000-2500, 4000-4500, 5000-6000) to guaranty a better productivity, better quality and surface conditions and minimize manufacturing time.
QSE integrated management system certification
12/04/2013: QSE integrated management system certified according to norms:
ISO 9001:2008 for the Quality Management System.
ISO 14001:2004 for the Environment Management System.
OHSAS 18001:2007 for the Occupational Health and Safety system.
Implementation of two management systems: environment and occupational health and safety
Expansion of premises to be better suitable.
Two management systems are implemented: One for environment and the other one for occupational health and safety, with ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001 as references, convinced that the security of our employees and our environment’s sustainability are invaluable tools for our progress.
Clean air set-up with cyclonic separation
Building of a clean air system with several cyclonic separation by decompression elements. This clever design removes dust and particles emitted in the various workshops: up to 85% of dust eliminated. Set-up of a system to scavenge volatile organic compounds (VOC) liberated during the filament winding process guarantees air exchange.
23/05/2011: Renewal of ISO 9001:2008 certification
30/07/2010: Migration to the 2008 version of ISO 9001 norm.
Capital increase to 2,050,000.- €.
23/05/2008: Renewal of the Quality Management System.
Founding of AQUATECH-GCER to serve better its Spanish customer base. Closer to those who trust GCER expertise, the Spanish subsidiary grows and represents today GCER in the Canary Island and in South America (in particular in Peru and Chile).
23/05/2005: Implementation and certification with the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system for “design and manufacture of thermoplastic and thermosetting (GRP and MTP/F) piping and boiler/tank systems”. To grow further, GCER develops GRP tanks manufacturing.
Founding of GCER SA by Mr. Mohamed BOUASSIDA in Ksibet Sousse. GCER covers an area of 3 hectares, of which 15,000 m² are workshops. A little bit over 200 employees specialized in piping systems and boiler-manufacturing design.
